“What should I bring?”

For all clients – Face mask. Riding boots, or hiking boots with at least ankle-bone coverage are recommended. We have a limited number of boots available for you if you need them. Sturdy full length pants (trousers) like jeans or thicker cargo pants. Long armed shirt if possible. A change or 2 of shirts. Sun glasses. Sun block/sun screen (please check coral-safe contents). Swimming suit. Towel. Camera or phone. A little cash (we recommend to have pesos not more than equivalent $100usd) and a credit or debit card. ID. Current drivers license.

Experience / Bike choice:

Our tours are for medium and experienced riders only, we recommend a minimum of 3 years of riding experience. Off-road experience is not required, the trails are very “mild”. Please, state your size and weight when booking so we can adjust the bike as needed. Your safety, comfort and fun depend on us being able to set up the bike to your individual needs!

Physical considerations:

The Mexican Caribbean is hot! Even in winter you will need sun-block. Our body protectors and waterproofs will be enough for even the coldest days (20°c, 68°f).

A reasonable level of physical fitness is required. People with heart conditions, high blood pressure, back or joint problems or other high-risk medical conditions may find the riding and high temperatures too strenuous.

Insurance:

Our insurance coverage is for third party damages. All clients must have their own medical insurance. A deposit to cover potential damages to the motorcycle must be made by credit card on the day of your tour. The deposit is returned at the end of the tour if no damage has been caused.

Covid 19

In these troubling times of Covid 19 we all need to do our bit to avoid contracting and spreading this illness. Here at Adam’s Adv Bike Tours we are well prepared and doing everything possible to avoid the spread of this virus. Please remember to bring your face mask, which will be required when not riding. All our equipment is washed and sterilized after every use, this includes all personal equipment and the motorcycle itself. Whilst we are in close proximity to one another, and especially during our preparations and fitting of your protective equipment, the use of hand sanitizer and a facemask is mandatory. You will be invited into our household for fitting so please be respectful of these rules. We will have the air conditioning set to cool so that wearing your mask and trying on your equipment is a pleasurable and comfortable experience. Thanks for your cooperation.
